A special campaign to reduce single-use cups at Clinton Street Coffeehouse.
Did you know that ~1 million single-use coffee cups go to landfill every week in metro Portland? Clinton Street Coffeehouse and OKAPI kicked off a campaign in November to cut down in a big way on single-use cups going to landfill, by encouraging the choice of reusable cups (BYO or OKAPI) for everyone getting a drink to-go.
An update - Clinton is at 27%!
With your participation and the help of the staff at Clinton, 27% of cups going out the door are already either bring-your-own or OKAPI cups. They’re aiming for 50% of to-go cups to be reusables in the coming months. That will mean 24,000 cups a year saved from landfill!
